I've finally decided on getting some MIVV slip ons. From what I've heard around here, they're very well made, sound great and are cheap too! Well cheaper than Arrow's and way cheaper than Termi's. Cheesy

I'll be getting low mount carbons but can't decide weather to get "Oval" or "GP" style.
They are both shorter than the stock cans (which is good), the GP's look to be significantly smaller in diameter too.

I've found a couple of you-tube vids of GP's on some 695's and they sound pretty good. I couldn't find any vids of 900's, but I'm assuming the sound would be a little deeper, because of the larger engine. Maybe?
Would the oval cans then be slightly deeper again, because of the larger diameter can?

I'd get the smaller diameter can.  They always look better/faster/lighter to me.

I love the way the MIVV Xcones look, but I heard a sound clip and I thought they sounded like a really loud dirt bike.  Probably from the camera/mic used, but just a heads up.  PJ's part's carries MIVVs and talks really well about them.  Very nice pricetag!

The GP Style have always been my favorite for the dual swing arms.  I was going to get a 695 and had that exhaust picked out already. :p

Thanks for the replys Guys.  Grin

Here are the two different pipes I am talking about:

GP

Oval

Can anyone tell me what effect the different shape/size would have the note of the exhaust?
If one of the exhaust guys could chime in that would be great.  waytogo
I actually prefer the look of the oval pipes. The GP's just look too small for the bike (IMO).

Psycledic - Yeah it is quite hard to tell what they'll sound like in real life, hopefully better than youtube anyway!

Yellow Meanie -

Did you find out any more info on these pipes?  I'm interested in the low mount oval as well (titanium).

I know pjsparts has them for a decent price.

FYI, the mufflers you have pictured directly above are the older design.  Here is a picture of a member's (Heathbert) GP (edited, pipe initially mistaken for oval design) pipe.  This matches the design on Mivv's website.  I prefer the new design.

Good call Heath.  Like Yellow Meanie, I'm concerned that the GPs will look too small on my bike.  Can anyone provide dimensions on the oval and GP so that I can compare them to my stock exhaust?

They aren't the same motorcycles, but this gives you a sense of how much smaller the GP cans are.

I arrived home from King Island today, to find a big package waiting for me Grin

Inside I found this

They'll go on tomorrow (if I get time).
I'll also get some video of the stock / Mivv cans for comparison.
