I was planning my trip to Indy this year.  Last year I bought GA tickets because I didn't know what seats would provide the best view.
This year I would like to get the Mugello tickets.  I know last year they were not sold as typical tickets were sold, and I was wonder if anyone had info regarding how to purchase these tickets.

i know i'm adwertising for our website (sorry)
www.hoosierhooligans.org
check it out once in a while, if you become an active/DOC member you will be able to buy them by calling the indymotorspeedway with the info that will be posted on our site.
Last year it was a blast and Ducati puts a heck of a program together, can't wait to go again and hopefully the weather is better.

imo waste of money, there were way better spots to sit in, I didn't even sit in my mugello seats so much.
the straight was way cooler as you got to watch the race on video and then live on the straight, that was sick

i absolutely loved the project mugello grandstand seating at indy,
it was great to participate in the card stunt, and i met a lot of cool people.

there was a jumbo screen behind the grandstand, you could see if you turned around in your seat.
you could also see the screen from everywhere else on ducati island.
but i agree it would have been better to have it across the track.

or, if they had setup the grandstand where the island was,
and the island where the grandstand was, it would have been better viewing of the screen.

i loved how the pit out was right in front of the grandstand...
we could get a really close look at the bikes and the racers, and some great pictures.

i'm pretty sure they are going to do something about the Jumbotron this year
this was the frirst time around and i'm sure they did learn a few does and donts.

and yeah the pit exit was pretty cool ;D

I saw that crash....

the jumbo tron was angled out the other way and you had to snap your neck to see it
we walked around and sat where ever we wanted and I thought the straight was more exciting

The Mugello seats were great for the atmosphere, but they(as well as Duc Island) were put at that point on the grounds for logistical ease rather than viewing pleasure.  Good view of pit out and several corners with a chance of viewing the jumbo if you could ratchet your neck around like a barn owl, and close proximity to all of the tracks amenities.  You could tell Indy put the Ducatisti in the best area possible.  The highlight for me was the track officials stopping all foot/motor traffic for Ducatis to enter the Island.  I personally saw an official elbow check a 5yr old in the face to let us pass(step back pregnant doges!)  I highly recommend riding into the GP.....unforgettable experience!  Oh and the sound of 50+ Ducatis at idle in the tunnel under the speedway waiting to exit after the race.....INmake the beast with two backsINGCREDIBLE!!!

When did stoner crash?...was it front of the Mugello stands?  I wasn't drunk, but I was being pelted in the eyeballs by hurricane force wind/rain or maybe I blocked it out of my mind b/c I was so pissed Rossi won with ease after toying with Nicki for several laps.

M-ROCin' it!!!

he crashed during practice
and yeah the whole riding into the infield was worth it,Ducati indianapolis put together a red snake from the store to the track, quiet awsome and was well worth for me to get up at 4:30 am, drive up to indy, pick up the bike at my buddys house and head to the shop for the ride

Atmosphere was great in the Muggello area, but I agree with Beck..........there are better seats to be had.

but then again, it depends on what you are going for.

The reason they weren't checking tickets Beck was because of the ticket checkers had taken cover from the wind / rain.
I hope we don't have to deal with that again.
