Same goes for a mother....

10x over.

To realize the value of nine  months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

No parent should outlive their child.  It isn't fair.  But neither is the world we live in.

May his family find solace in their love for him.
Inara: (pissed) "What did I say to you about barging into my shuttle?"

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

+1 on parents outliving their children.

i have seen this firsthand. both of my grandmothers have outlived children (my mom and my uncle), and it is heartbreaking for them.

i imagine it is almost as bad to have the entire world talking about it...
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Tragic yes, but nothing unusual.  Sadly, every day a parent's child dies.  The only thing special is that Jett's parents are famous

Here's reports of two others the same week:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28464229/

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/04/06/gaza.violence/index.html

On what message forum are their deaths lamented?  Is their passing not even more tragic, as those grieving families do not have millions of dollars and a massive support structure of friends, family, an entire industry and the well-wishing of thousands of strangers?

^^ I don't believe anyone was saying that, but thanks for sharing.  :-\
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

None of that stuff will be of any use to them through this.

Supposedly he suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome as a result of carpet cleaner....and was then not properly treated for it.

There's much more evidence linking Kawasaki's to a viral etiology than there is for the carpet cleaner theory, but it's not clearly defined either way.
