**Fund Set Up For Wife And Children Of Racer Joe Lopez, R.I.P.

A fund has been established to benefit the wife and children of racer Joe Lopez, who died Sunday as a result of injuries sustained in a crash during a WERA West club event at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

Lopez, age 32, is survived by his pregnant wife Debbie; son Joseph, age 13; daughter Alyssa, age 11; and daughter Leih, age 18 months.

The In Memory Of Joe Lopez Fund has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank, under account number 163-500-9093.

Funeral services are pending. More information will be posted when it becomes available.

Lopez was involved in setting up a proposed AMA Superbike race team owned by Magic Johnson. When not racing, Lopez handled IT and websites for Johnson's companies.

Especially if someone could copy over to SoCalDMC.. I'm too lazy to create an account over there.

And DOC SD, please.  Little further but not too far really.

thanks

perhaps.  but I don't want to be 'that guy' who creates an account to post one message when I know there are people here who frequent both sites.

Not sure if anyone from here went, but they raised about $2,000 for the family.

Thank you if you attended.  They had some nice raffle prizes.  I wish I could've gone.
