Which system does yours have?  I've got the two-one Termi's and mine sounds a bit more like God is pissed at the air around you.

When I put mine away for the winter it still had the stock pipes. That situation will be remedied before spring. I was quoting Spidey.

I'm curious to see what kind of Boom Tubes Moto Creations comes up with for the Sport 1000.

Worst case scenario, I've been thinking about just pulling the cans off and fabing up some mild baffles for the header pipe.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I like the spoke look no matter the weight but I bet it would look awesome with BSTs!!!!

As do I.  I was a bit reluctant to go with the five-spoke BSTs (nah, didn't have a damn thing to do with the cost) simply because the spokes look so good on these bikes.  So I found myself looking at the Alpina wheels and wondered why the hell I would spend so much money on them (about $2800 for the set) when you got so little in the way of performance returns.

Oh well, sure hope that I can get this issue sorted with the front before I deploy...

+1.  Let's see that Back in Black Sport Classic and the one with BST's.

Issues: I don't own a camera. It looks like any of the Ducati "numbered" specials, mine just has a different story. But I damn sure would love to see DRKWNG's scoot with the BSTs. Again, hope the logistics work out and you can get a replacement workable front wheel before too long. Hope you own a camera too. [laugh]

Does this work? It was taken by a friend at an AMS shop party.

Forgot to mention the SpeedyMoto pressure plate and 5 spoke cover and the carbon fiber belt covers. Not that that makes it run any better...

Next time tell him to move up about 15ft.  ;D

Good point. Hard to complain when you don't own a camera. [laugh]

PS  That pic was before the carbon fiber front fender, fork protectors and hugger. Also the steering damper hadn't arrived yet. It runs so much faster now with all that stuff on it. [laugh] [cheeky] [roll]

Ask and you shall receive.  Well, sort of.  Got the rear wheel on, but still the stock spoked jobbie on the front until BST can get me a wheel with the correct spacing...

Sweeeettt!!! Where did you get the rear hugger? Not many of those around. I've considered going to a two into one pipe. Love that look on your scooter. [thumbsup] Just to be different I've considered going with the Arrow 2-1 and having it ceramic coated black. Dangerous thoughts. :P

Anyway, end of thread jack. I think the point of all this is we all think you should do the trade. These are neat bikes for sure. [clap]

Thanks for that.  I do not/did not want to go through NCR because they have the exact same wheel but for quite a bit more money than they can be found for through other channels.  The place that I got mine from are very reputable when it comes to these wheels, but it just seems that BST sent out a batch that did not have the correct spacers included.

I got the hugger from a guy on Ducati.ms.  It's from Clay Composites (www.carbonfiberman.com) and seems to do the job nicely.  The only small complaint I have with it is that the chain guard portion of it is a bit longer than the aluminium DP version that was on the bike previously.

Which colour is yours?  There is a guy over on Ducati.ms that was a PS with the Zard full system that was been ceramic coated black.  Now that bike looks HOT!

Greg (the guy that makes the WASP steering damper kits) but an exbox on his for a while.  Looked nice in the way that it free'd up the rear end, and he swore it sounded tits, but I kind of like the megaphone look on these bikes better.  But that's just my own personal opinion.

I've had a 2006 monoposto since April. It was a leftover floor model and I got a smooooookin' deal on it.

I put a little over 7000 miles on it over the summer.

What specifically do you want to know?

hows the power? is it noticeably more powerful then say a ducati 695?
what kind of issues are they known to have?
thank you

The torque is pretty much obscene. With stock gearing, it'll power wheelie in first ([evil]) and I'm pretty sure it'd do it in second if I weren't so fat. It just PULLS.

The biggest issue that I know of is that it has the DS1000 engine with the O2 sensor, so it tends to "lurch" under 4,000 RPM as the computer tries to figure out what the hell its doing in closed loop. A good tech should be able to adjust that so its not at an RPM you'll be using (e.g it'll lurch when trying to hold a steady 2,500 RPM, but you're never going to be using it on the road at that engine speed, so its not an issue.) The DP ECU fixes this, of course. Also, having Monstermash re-flash your ECU to DP specs should fix it for good.

Another option is the FatDuc O2 Manipulator. It plugs in-line with your O2 sensor and gives your ECU a different reading eliminating the problem. Its an $85 one-time fix and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Like all Ducatis, they run a bit lean from the factory and have an unsightly charcoal canister and reflectors. All remediable.

Otherwise, the biggest problem is that they're Ducatis. The mods are never done.  ;)
