It just PULLS.

No better way to say it.  Mine has been re-geared to 14/40 and the thing is like a frickin' freight train!!  I'm almost afraid to see how wheelie happy it's going to be once I get the BST on the front...

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Just a few times.  But please take solace in the fact that I will have to get my tank replaced under warranty in order to mount the WASP TMSD that came in the mail.   [cheeky]

You'll have to let me know how that works out.

Its on the "short list."

But seeing as how its pertinent to this thread, what happened to your tank?

The ever-present condition of the tank swelling.  There is something (discussed over fifty kagillion times on ducati.ms) to do with the plastic tanks on these bikes that cause them to swell over time.  A lot of folk attest it to the ethanol in our fuel, but no one is certain as to exactly what causes it.  One way to tell if/when yours is effected is to grab the tank at the side/bottom and give it a gentle tug upwards.  If there is significant play in it then the tank has swollen and is starting to come free of the retaining brackets on the front.

mine seems to be effected more on the right side than the left.  I took these pics to send to Greg (WASP) to see what he thought of the mounting tolerances for the TMSD.  These were taken at full right lock:

That's "affected" rather than "effected". Get it straight will you. Dang. Just so you know.   ;D ;D

Not that I'm the grammar Nazi but still ......
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Sorry Adolf.  I seem to still spell a few things in English, and not American.   [cheeky]

Anyway, end of thread jack. I think the point of all this is we all think you should do the trade. These are neat bikes for sure. [clap]

Get one.
The SC1000 is one of my favorite bikes. We added Marchesini 10 spoke wheels and a ZARD exhaust on our project bike. The ZARD exhaust really gives it a lot of bottom end when it is tuned right. The wheels transformed the bike.

That bike is amazing. I think it (or something like it) is going to end up on my "must have before I die" list.

I know the wire spokes are supposed to give that retro look, but the bike looks so much better with cast wheels
