You better be f*ing kidding.   :o :o

That's not funny.   :(
If your serious:

I'm very sorry to hear.  <Big hugs>

Your boss just pissed his company into the wind.

Exactly what DD said!   Although having read past posts related to "crapco" â€" I want to say "congratulations" but also "that bites."

Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

I think you need a road trip.  There is still time to get your ticket.

Best of luck to ya! [thumbsup]  You were very supportive when I made a similar announcement. Thanks again. I am upset that a person and employee of your caliber is unwillingly unemployed. However, I find some humor in the fact that your recent subject title, "angry yet calm" does not carry the same amount of animosity as when you found out your ex-boss was going to be more hands-on.  I think that reveals your true feelings. ;)
Please don't think I'm being too light hearted about the situation. I know things will work out better the you could hope for. [thumbsup]

I've followed the exploits of your employment with this company thru this site...

All I can say is:  F' them, their loss!

Good guys like you can only do better after something like this!

You will come out of this much better off than you were before.  I just know it.  Meanwhile, if there's anything you need, count me in on the list of folks willing to help out.

It sucks when people and do the career planning for you - his loss obviously.
But, it sounds like this is what is going to get you to do what you wanted to do in the first place...

Good luck, keep us posted.

There, I fixed that.  I have three neighbors working out of their garages.  One whole family works together on a solar powered hydrogen generator prototype, another builds very high end loudspeakers and the third builds snowboards, although I think they recently expanded into a commercial shop.

This garage/business system seems to work pretty good.  If it really is your dream business, there probably won't ever be a better time than now, even if the economy is not so hot at the moment.  You can probably get supplies and equipment for cheap.

I'm going to be an optimist and say congratulations.  Don't know your relationship with your old boss but it would be cool if you stick it to him. It sounds as if you struck up a deal with your old glass supplier you could really hurt your old boss.  Don't know anything about the glass business but perhaps you have a loyal customer base that would rather deal with you than him.  Maybe your just tired of the business all together and its time for a new direction.  Either way I wish you the breast of luck.

Good luck Joel.  His loss and your gain.  Something better will show up!

If you're serious about your dream business......

This may be the opportunity you need.

The worst that can happen if you start your business is you "fail" (with the right plan and proper forethought - unlikely) and have to get a job - not so different than where you are now.......

You have a great creative side - don''t be afraid to take the leap.

Self employment isn't all "roses" but at least you'll like your boss
