which to get....

so i have an s2r800....but want to add another bike....which would you do....

2008 1098s from the dealer brand new with warranty for $18k

or

2008 1098s from an individual seller with 900 miles for $15k

is it worth the $3k risk to not know what this person may have done to the bike - or spend a bit more at the delaer and get the full warranty and be the only person ever to ride it....

The used one should have at least a year worth of warranty left on it.

I'd probably go used if it's a clean bike, otherwise new.

I think Ducati offer an extended warranty for a *small* premium.

she started at $17....i think i could get $14....the best thing would prob be a red 2008 1098  less than 2k miles for $10k....more than a dealer would give to someone....anyone know of one?  stepping from a monster to an s is big - i wont fee lso guilty if it is just a base
