Hello all fellow Ducatisi waytogo

I have run into a bit of an issue with my 2004 S4R and I have limited access to electrical schematics so perhaps someone here can help.

This morning my spedo quit working so I rode home to diagnose the problem.
Found that in addition to the spedo, the horn and the brake light were also not working.

Obviously this leads to the 10A fuse in the fuse bay...but the fuse is fine.

Apparently, when I latched the seat...I crushed the red and white wire leading to the tail-light.  I have an aftermarket LED with integral turn indicators for a tail-light.

Two questions.  For those who have a schematic...would a loss of this wire (I am assuming it is to the brake lamp) lead to a loss of
the horn and spedo based on the schematic??

If not this, then is there a point in the electical system where all three meet which would lead to the symptoms I described?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks Grin

They are on the same fuse.  Did you actually check the fuse for continuity?  No meter?  Follow what Raux suggested, fuses are cheap and it is good to have a spare anyway.

Did you check the back of your owners manual for the schematics?

or

You can download the 2005 S4R PDF owners manual and go to page 317 from the link below.  The 2004 PDF doesn't have the schematics.  The 2005 schematics "should" be close enough for this.
