'athletic' cut fitted shirts work well for anyone at the 10 inch or more difference between chest and waist.      Otherwise you can buy for collar size and arm length in regular dress shirts and just have a tailor take in the bottom so it's not like wearing a sack.    10 to 15 bucks per shirt.

It's still buy a flounder a drink month

If the neck fits, the sleeves are to short ;D
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

And don't forget that if the sleeves fit too.. then the waist section's big enough to smuggle two kindergartens

Bah, when I was at my most robust, Athletic cut hadn't really hit the scene and I was a broke ass college student so tailoring wasn't in the bugdet.  I get pretty slick with doing this pleating thing in the back sinced down with a belt
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

We do that in the Navy, with the military creases. We call them wings.

i always have trouble finding long enough sleeves. everything else can fit, but the sleeves will come up about 2 inches short.

2 inches isn't much normally, but when it's on a shirt that means you are strainging the cuffs on your forearm. the sleeves also go way up under the suit jacket.

yay gorilla arms!

if you're tall, you need to buy shirts for tall men ( XLT instead of XL).  If it's a dress shirt, it's by the neck & sleeve length (and yes, unless it's a hard-to-find athletic cut) then the tummy will have enough material for a parachute.

Travis - if you ever get some meat on your bones, I'll pass along the shirts Windsor's mom buys that he doesn't want.   ;D    You'll learn to appreciate the short sleeves - better than dressing like a dork!!!  All her taste is in her mouth!!

i always search for the tall selections. the problem is that i don't quite fit in the tall section, but i'm not in the regular section either.

and windsor isn't jsut bigger than me, he's taller by a good measure as well. i'm pretty sure i would look like a little kid swimming in their dad's shirt if i got his clothes.  [laugh]
