I bought a Zero Gravity smoke windscreen, and that is one part I wish I would NOT have purchased.

Just tape off the outside, and paint the inside of the windscreen with Krylon for plastic.

There's nothing wrong with the ZG screen, except that it was (IIRC) $80 shipped.

One can of Krylon is $4.99 and can be used for a lot of stuff.

Finally, I've painted the inside of the windscreen on my Bandit, and I've seen painted windscreens on other monsters, and I like the opaque look better than the smoked, translucent look of the ZG.

Check out these screens. http://www.eaglescreens.com.au/ they make screens for everything. They don't have a picture on their website but I sure they will have made a screen for the 696 by now.

with the AUS $ now at around $0.65 USD they will be a 'cheap as chips'

Send them an email and they'll get straight back to you [eagle@indigo.net.au]

Here's the reply I got back from eagle screens regarding something to fit 696:

Quote
No we haven't made that model screen yet but would like to.
But we cannot make one until we get hold of an original screen with which to make a new mould.
I took a few photos of that model when I first saw it at Bike Asia 2008 and have been waiting for someone to seek one from us.

EAGLE SCREENS AUSTRALIA

I guess they're waiting for someone to turn up on their doorstep with a 696 and say "make me something to fit this".
