I DVR'd both WSBK races but after the first 5 minutes of "Jous" I deleted them both...

Dear Speed TV,

WHAT THE HELL ARE DOING?!  For godssake, ditch the #%@$ing "enhanced" coverage of MotoGP and, by god, don't EVER @#$% up another US WSBK round like you did the last one. Keep Scoot Russell, but ditch Sheehen and White this very minute.  Worst excuse for race coverage I have ever seen or heard.  You guys have the best F1 and Sports Car coverage on the planet but then you've got this freakin' albatross of a race broadcast for some of the best motorcycle racing anywhere...

It's time for a re-think on your moto coverage.

Please.

Sorry.  We now continue with our regularly scheduled Duc stuff  coffee

It wasn't so bad (WSBK), at least it was in HD  Roll Eyes Interesting tidbit about the Ducati customer bikes http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2010/May/100531checa7.htm
Quote
Ducati can control the rev limit of every Superbike connected to their electronic network. It's rumored that at Salt Lake City Ducati has raised the rev limit of all customer bikes an additional 500 rpm.

"I think we have the same revs as the factory," Checa says, "but this I don't know."

Sounds absurd to me, warranty would go out the window for motor work at the dealer's expense. If its too good to be true, it probably is. (also, why raise the rev limiter if the fun is already over by then? time to shift gears and get in the power band again)

Anybody catch the name of Corser's new energy drink sponsor? How much would they have to pay you to put PUSSY on the front of you helmet??? laughingdp

Quote from the sponsor's website: "Pussy has been fueling the celebrity and party scene for some time."

Hugh should know.

OK, this thread is not supposed to be "racy", it's supposed to be about rac-ing. Shall we get back on topic before the mods find that threadlocker that fell under the workbench?!? Huh?

For those who have MotoGP.com subscriptions, Filipo Preziosi's 14-minute interview about the 9-year evolution of the Desmosedici from  "V-twin"-like Big Bang 990cc to the "Screamng" 800cc engine is the best explanation I've ever heard or read on the subject:

Rossi fractures tibia in highside during practice at Mugello, saw this on motogp.com this morning.  This maybe the end of this season for him  Sad

This could be the end of motorcycle racing for him. Need a reason to switch to cars? How about a season-ending injury...

Or perhaps he'll start next season with a fresh new team...and manufacturer.

Really too bad for the championship.  Assuming Lorenzo doesn't get injured, I don't think anyone is taking this championship from him.  Even if Stoner makes his way back up front, he'd probably have to take 8+ race wins on the way out just to make it interesting, and Vale isn't going to be gone all year.

I'm officially rooting for Pedrobot to do something because I refuse to root for Stacey Moaner.  Vale could be out up to a few months.  Does Spies get a guest seat on the Fiat Team?  Also, how does this impact Yamaha and who they sign?
