Been looking to add a Power Commander to my '02 M620.  All of the ones I've seen so far have been '03 or newer model.  Is this really going to make a difference?  Also what kind of gains am I going to be able to feel?  I'm running a stock setup so far with Leo Vince carbon high mounts with wrapped pipes.  Thanks!
May your head gasket develop premature failure, your carb get gummed up, and your side stand fall short.

It depends on what you plan on doing with it. Canned maps will give some but not optimal results. Seat of the pants will tell you it feels faster.

If you have a competent dyno tuner near you I would highly recommend getting a custom tune along with opening up the airbox. The bike will start easier, idle smoother, and will have noticeably more and smoother power everywhere.  [thumbsup]

Money well spent IMO.

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

Anyone try the powercard thing that Desmotimes sells?

My fast lap is your sighting lap.

the power gain isn't nearly as nice as how smooth it makes the bike

+1.. I gained... crap, this was a long time ago... 4hp and 2lb-ft over baseline, but the curves were much, much smoother. never did dyno the bike completely stock, so idk what the total gains were.

still need to get off my ass and re-do my map.

you're def. best off getting it mapped after doing your intake (chop box lid, new filter).  leaving the intake side stock isn't going to gain you much.

:edit:
oh yeah, ummm. '05 620, arrows, chopped lid, BMC filter, PC3

First order of business this spring is a dyno tune on my 03' 620.  I got cored stock cans and pods...  I ran a canned map in the fall, I guess it felt a little better, but I definitely need a custom tune at my elevation.
Nobody snuggles with Max Power. You strap yourself in and feel the Gs!
