I'm more than happy for it to be my place, but figured that you and matty would not want to come north to go south. Maybe I'm wrong, so:
I'm calling a 6.45 meet for 7am breakfast at my place - enough time for breakfast and to be on the road by 8am. We'll all fuel up together at kirawee or similar.

Be an early start for Nemo,But I'm not fussed . We could even stop At Maca's for a coffee
and some pancakes just up from my place there is also a servo there for fuel

I'm gonna ignore that comment
Not an early one really, and Nemo is cool with it!
Really, I'm cool to meet where-ever, but I'll having
at home prior to meeting up for fuel.
Anyone who want to join me is welcome

Shall I bring a tea bag! Because as you know I don't drink
It'll be a small commute with morning traffic, but
will be worth it.

Okay - I've had a slow day trying to get info on the roads.
Spoke to some guy at VicRoads who sounded like I'd just woke him up (or he took too much ADHD meds). But when he called back this arvo and we got talking about bikes he was okay. So his info was that part of the road (Warburton to Woods point - Reefton spur) is closed and will be for some time. He also said fires out in Gippsland area so plan B is fine.
Spoke to barmaid at Woods Point pub who said the road is dirt from Kevington to big river turnoff (Reefton Spur) about 100kms but it's good dirt road and they get roadies through there all the time. And no fire threat at present.
So looks like we made the right decision re Alpine Hwy. I would still like to ride the Mansfield - Woods Point rd sometime in the future if anyone else wants to give it a go. G??
Nick can you pm me phone numbers and Jindy address please. Do I need sleeping bag, towel things like that?
