Like I said, the solonoid is fine, the only bit left to check is the starter motor, but I need to go and borrow my brother in-law's puller to take the left side engine cover off.

I had the main relay under the seat next to the indicator flasher go bad on me and look like a starter motor problem... If you've still got the original yellow one there, carefully lever the yellow cover off and press the contacts together and see if it starts properly then. It's a simple thing to check and it's only 8 or 10 bucks to replace from any auto parts shop.

If it's the starter, Ducati won't sell you any parts, just a complete replacement, but there's some info over in TOB about which Kawasaki brushes and brush plate fit in - I bet Ron @ Flywheels would be happy to sell you kwaka parts for your Duc ;-)

cant remember the brand but they are never used and size 42EU or 8.5 US
