I have yet to meet a Dogfish Head brew I didn't like.   [beer]

+1.  My favorite Brewery, with Ommegang a close second.

+1 On Dogfish Head. I've had the 120 Minute IPA. It's a sipping beer. A little hoppy doesn't quite cover it. It's was a slow drinker.

Of the Belgiums my favorite is Westmalle Tripel. We were touring the Bastogne area a couple of years ago. My brother and I had about 3 Westmalle Tripels each at lunch. My father announced it was time to head to the next sight, we stood up and then fell over. It tastes good, goes down easy and packs a good punch.

Years ago, in a pub far far away they sold this stuff called Old Roger.
Now old Roger was a funny type of beer...........it comes on tap and is sold in 10 0z glasses(half pint). Its think and flavorful.
These days you are only allowed to have 2 pints all night long.
There is a standing competition............or at least there was.If you can drink 5 pints down your throat, make it once around the parking lot and get any body part over the threshold of the pub  your prize is a barrell of the stuff.
Thats 88 imperial pints.
No one has ever done this. Let me stress this again NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THIS.
The stuff is lovely. It is sold in a pub called The Royal Standard in Denham Hertforshire. In my extremely misguided and corrupted youth I spent many nights in this pub, drinking this stuff. Best bit was without doubt the ride home every night. Might take 10 minutes, might take 4 hours. All depends on how wasted you were. The more wasted , the longer it takes to get home as you seem to forget the way and land up like in Birmingham(thats about a hundred miles north of London). Pleasant memories of a well spent youth and great times on motorbikes.
Now ,in the modern era
I am against drinking and driving and do not think its ok to do.In fact its bloody stupid and I have no sympathy for anyone who gets caught or hurts themselves or others.
I grew up.
Yes it makes me a hippocrite as I did it in my youth.I am a lot of things now I am older.
The memories of this fine beer I shall take o my grave.

Hmm I don't think it's really hoppy at all, not compaired to the 60 or 90.  I just went down to the local Dogfish Head owned place and had a 120 last night.  Definitely a sipper.  Sweet and apricot-y

Oh snap, I had some of that the other week.  One of the local concert venues serves it.  Had one on top of the 4 strong beers we polished off in and hour before the show.. not my best idea... but very good beer
