Just bought an Onkyo full home theater system for quite a discount. Originally priced at $799 (admittedly over-priced) for $299! Its the HT-SP904. 730 watt 5 speaker setup with a powered 10" sub. Came with a DVD player with 1080p upscaling, iPod dock, Sirius ready. It's a nice looking system, all of the speakers are gloss black and very classy looking.

Warranties are typically handled through third party services, so it should be aight.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I used to work for Circuit City and this whole going under thing is a long time coming, like 4 years now.  And MrIncredible is correct the warranty, it is handled by a third party. Can't remember thier name, but your warranty will be handled just keep the phone number handy.
I live vicariously thru myself......

They aren't offering new extended warranties. They also are not accepting checks or Circuit City credit cards. In the one I went to there was a "liquidation specialist" who was not a normal store employee verifying that the employees did not give any additional discounts over what was already advertised...

If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

All the metro Atlanta stores tanked before Christmas.
The deals were okay at best.

They have jacked all the prices up in the last few months, and now with these "huge savings" your really only getting down to what normal market value is on most the stuff.

Not to say there are some good deals hidden in there.

(I did get a good deal on a shelfs and racks after all the merch was gone...)
