Anyone here in Purchasing for a big company like Walmart?

Long shot but thought I would ask.
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Sorry. I can't afford to purchase Wal-Mart.     :(

Will you take $5 a week until I pay it up?    [cheeky]

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

I personally haven't. Not sure if the owners have.

start with the smaller local stores first.

if the prduct is already established it will be easier to get it in front of the peopel that decide on these things.

i've been in a purchasing group of one form or another with my company (medical) for the past 7 yrs. everything from shipping companies to components have to be looked at by a particular group.
Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!

Don't you have to use the same EDI System that Walmart users to even be considered as  a customer?

we are in quite a few local smaller stores.

It is making that next big jump imto the chain stores such as walmart, Dicks, Cabelas, Bass Pro, Red Head which is quite the cahllenge.

Good luck!

My father inlaw dealt with Walmart on a regular basis.  The stories he told me are frightening.  They will beat you down on  price which in turn gives you a very lean profit.  Then there are the charge backs, RTVs and of course the famous 10/30...  5/60  discounts they take.

He, my inlaw, was a VP for Revlon.  No small company.
