Suzuki GT750 "Water Buffalo"

The old fart does. Probably not the greatest bike for an easy restoration or even to get it running. I am sure there is a water buffalo forum or two out there... there is for everything else! I'm sure the tank is going to need replacing and finding a set of spec carbs off a GT750 maybe tough. Not many other three cylinder bikes out there from that era. Tridents used Amals I think and I am sure the cylinder/carb spigot spacing would be off. Finding any modern Suzuki mechanic that is knowledgeable will also be tough. As interesting as it could be there are other ways to spend all your spare time and money. Just my opinion...

I kinda figured it would be more trouble than it's worth     I thought I remembered you had some experience with them though. Just the idea of a 750cc two stroke street bike makes me  .

And yes the Cop Rod has been here for a few months. It's currently waiting on the tranny to get rebuilt  (Long story don't get me started)

Sorry to say I've got no experience with that bike, but it does look very cool... a three cylinder Suzuki from the 70's    Learn something new everyday   

Is the bike also a two stroke?

My real two stroke 70s street bike dealings were with RD 350 and 400 Yammyhammers and H1 and H2 Kawi triples. Ahhh, the ring ding ding of Bill Wirges expansion chambers and the smell of Klotz or Blendzall and gas... ahhhh.

Are you looking for a classic bike to Restore? or you just need a GT750 ? Im sure you can find all the parts but the only people who are going to mess with this bike are people who really like GT750s or people who really want a 3 cylinder water cooled 2 stroke bike . they where heavy and slow compared to kawasaki H2 750 (which was 3 cylinder aircooled 2 stroker). 

If you want something that will scare you every time you ride (and anyone else around) get a Kawasaki H1 H2 500 or 750... they cost more they go FAST! No brakes and you can get pretty much everything for them even now!
