I thought that was the grandfather going back to Iraq as a contractor to help support the kids... 

Meh, stupid people. Doesn't really matter either way. Why were they allowed to do the fertility treatment when they already had 6 kids in the first place? Don't they do background checks to ensure that the family can support the children or was the clinic so tight for money they'll treat anyone for money and feign ignorance about the dangers to the children.
