actually he said monsters. although he used the new monster in the photo. i SERIOUSLY don't take his opinion seriously. some of those bikes were mechanical works of art.

+1 just laugh (or not) at the juvenile humor.   :)

Man, this dude has got his head up his ass. I checked what he wrote about himself and it seems that he is a lonely person working at the corner newspaper shop  ;D

Triple J

The new CBR 1000RR (Fireblade) is #8 on sportbikes? Really? Has this dude not seen the Japanese sportbikes for the past 5-6 years?  ??? The new 1000RR is great looking IMO.

Hypermotard #1 ugliest in its category??

At its introduction in Milan It was awarded "Best of Show" and later "Best Bike for 2005" by the Motorcycle Design Association

Now the Multistrada on the other hand....

Ya know I think this guy also wrote a '100 Ugliest Women' list...here's an excerpt-
1. Natalie Portman
This horrible mishmash of components features a neck that is too long and slender for the attached head, plus there are clearly two moles present

2. Rachel Weisz
The eyes and lips are way too large and out of proportion for the face on this frankenstein example

3. Anne Hathaway
Eyes are too far apart. Plus there's dimples. Dimples belong on Shirly Temple, not a grown woman

4. Thandie Newton
This trainwreck doesnt even know what race she wants to be. What color is that skin? Its not brown, its not white...it just ends up being some revolting creamy mochachino color. Throw in a british accent and this mess gets even more confusing.

shall i go on?  [laugh]

I noticed that, too.  I remember Hypermotard was voted the "2006 World's Most Beautiful Motorcycle".

Frankly, I think the new Monsters are ugly as sin.

Horrible front headlight.

Pathetic looking cast subframe on the back end. What freaking bean counter came up with that? Having some human beings spend time welding that beautiful trellis frame was just to expensive, eh? UGLY.

The remains of the trellis frame are bulky and crude looking, almost a cartoon of the original monster.

Plastic interchangable gas tank panels? Yaaaahhhhh! We can change our tank color like we change our hair color! Ghey.

The thing is sway backed like an old horse.

There is a reason no one likes the 1999+ Supersport. They were ugly. It was Ducati's 'misses'. The current monster = another miss as far as I'm concerned.

Leave the Japanese styling to the Japanese.

I want something Italian, and impractical, and over the top, and loud, and beautiful.

you know if this is going to be a new monster bashing thread can you just go ahead and make the beast with two backsing rename it. we already know the guy who wrote this list is an idiot. those of you who are agreeing... welll...

Old-Duckman

I agree with many of his picks, perhaps most.

He does sound like Mr. Blackwell (I think that was his name), The guy who used to rip on the actress' dresses in Tinseltown...I think Mr. Blackwell probably wanted to wear some of those dresses..?

Anyway I was shocked when I saw the 400 Honda as well. I think that is one sharp, classic design.

Ducati Paso...Who can disagree with him there? Ducati Indiana...I'd take one in a minute, just 'cause it is a totally unusual Ducati design.

Honda Rune, Victory Vision...come on, the guy got it right in a lot of cases!

The new Monster design is growing on me...no bashing here...though I'm glad I got my '06' S2R 1000 prior to the design update. I hope to hold onto the S2R for many years.

Too many agrees and disagrees to cover but I was happy to see KTMs (which I think are horrible but the press just rave about) and was shocked to not see more BMWs...The more recent ones have to be, as a company whole, the most bizzare, ugly bikes to hit the road in many years.

I agree that it would be interesting to see his 100 best...Fun read though!

lauramonster

Frickin' snow!

Triple J

He got quite a few right...it'd be hard not to.

His Supermotard collection is confusing. Half of the bikes in there aren't what I would consider Motards, while the other half are (Husky, Aprilia, KTM). This statement about the Husky solidifies that there are certain moto segments he just doesn't like, or understand:

OK, so let's see if I get this straight. The idea of supermotard is to emulate motocross styling but fitted with racing style street tires, right? What for? In order to jump sidewalks and run over pedestrians? Supermotard is for Superretards...

Drunken Monkey

I think these lists are a triumph of human achievement.

After all, it's impressive as hell that a complete retard was able to put them together on his own  [thumbsup]
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...
