Learned yesterday that a classmate back at MMI was killed Sunday morning.

He was 18, and riding home from work at 4 am (he was a stocker on the late shift).

No skid marks, no witnesses, no idea what happened.  Perhaps he was sleepy.  Don't know.

He was a good kid, young man.

If any of you are the praying types, perhaps you can offer up a few for him and his family.

Thanks,
Norris

Cry  Prayers offered for him & his family !  Cry

Kirk & I were talking about the book Proficient Motorcycling on the way home from the Superbowl parties last weekend.
The book begins with a lot of dry statistics gleaned from California over many years that although dry, are quite revealing.

I can't remember the exact percentage but more than half of all moto fatalities are one rider, riding alone, with no other vehicle involvement !  I had always thought cars turning left, or changing lanes were the worst for motos - but like many things in life, sometimes we are our own worst enemies !  Cry  Shall we try to learn a lesson from this otherwise senseless tradgedy?  Huh? I plan on it !

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Sad to hear, especially for one so young.
