I have finally purchased a set of carbon Termi's for the 696. [moto] I will be fitting them tomorrow morning. I think they should be easy enough to fit, it's just getting to the ECU and air filter that seams a pain. Do I have to 'prepare' the air filter or does it go straight in from the box? If anyone wants to pop round whilst I'm doing this just let me know.

Andy, congrats on the new exhaust! The ECU and air filter aren't all that tough to get to on the monsters... hell you don't have to deal with fairings! Just be sure to have less than 1/2 a tank of fuel when you raise it to access the filters/ECU area. IIRC all the parts for your exhaust are "plug 'n play" Cheers

You need to reset the TPS on the new ECU for it to be perfect...
I have the hardware/software to do it if you want.

If the filter needs oiling they should provide oil with the kit, otherwise it should be good to go. Looking forward to hearing it!

From what I have read the TPS on the 696 resets automatically. If this is incorrect I'd love the help.

It does have that new Siemens ECU - that would be a nice feature.

You can't rightly hear the sweet sound if you're on the bike riding it. Let me ride it for you so you can hear it properly. [moto]

The Siemens ECU is the big question there... I'm not sure about the auto-reset ...but it is possible. Ask around, and I'll do the same.
