For reasons I'd rather not think any further about my handlebars recently became bent. I'm wondering what my bar replacement options are, I didn't really like the rise/sweep of the old bars, I'd like to have a bar that I can lean over a little more but I'm told I'll run in to clearance issues with many other bars. At first I just wanted to slap some motocross bars on it but I was looking at the Renthal streetfighter bars and thinking they looked like a good compromise, does anybody have any experience of these bars or others they'd recommend (other than the stock ones)??

Also, I was wondering if the stock ducati bars are 7/8 or something else? Thanks for any info guys!!  [bow_down]

This belongs in the accessories & mods - you can move it yourself.....

The bar is 7/8. What about the sweep don't you like - too much/too little? If you want more, there's Suburban Machinery bars. I'm not sure what the sweep of your bar is, but on S*R stock is 18 degrees and the Suburban is 24. Lots of guys like them.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check out the SM bars. I thought this belonged in tech cus I had a technical question about the size of the bars.

The two things about the bars I didn't like were that they were too high in my opinion, personal taste, and I'd prefer them to be a little farther forward, I like to stretch over the front just a little more.

The button to move it is on bottom left side, just under the last post. I don't care, but you will have more answers on the right board :)

If the SM bars aren't right for you, there are clip ons - much more aggressive. Some even come with risers. You can have similar height as stock S*R bars, but an inch or two further forward. MonsterParts and MotoWheels have the Swatts with 1.5 2.5 and 3.5 inches rise.

I don't know how badly your bars are bent, but I wanted the same thing.  More of a cafe style w/o spending any money on clipons, so I just flipped my bars and used heat and vice to bend them the way I wanted, drilled new holes for the controls and there ya go!  Dropped bars down 3+in. and angled them down to fit my wrists better 8) I will post some pics if your interested

I'm  interested!   ;D   Have you taken measurements?  Great idea!  [clap]

I will work up some pics.  No I don't have access to stock bars anymore but my buddy is riding with clipons above the triples with no down angle.

Bought them, love them. Look sick as balls IMO too.
Also, already have the holes pre-drilled for your controls :D That's a big PLUS in my book.

Anyone have the M1 style bars with coffin reserviors ? How are they in regards to the gauges? I'm looking to get these bars I should get the M3 style, but like the looks of the M1's better.

Thanks. Judging by that I bet the M1's would be way to tight.

I had a similar situation a few weeks ago where my bars became bent unavoidably. I bought a set of AFAM M5 works bars from Chris at ca-cycleworks. They have less pull back than the factory bars, and less rise, but not much. They are WAY more comfortable than the stock bars, especially when riding 2-up.

Does anyone happen to know the inner diameter of the SM bars?  I was thinking making some similar to them in the future but was curious on the ID.
