Can any of you computer people recommend a decent web host?  I'm currently using M6.net due to their prices, but they are the leading example of crap support.  It's only getting worse, so I want to avoid renewing in June.  I need to be able to run a mysql database, php5 and probably 5 different sites.  Thanks in advance!

I've been using Powweb for 4 years now. No issues so far.

Depends what you need.  Dreamhost has great prices and great service (as well as a kickass cpanel), if you want something for a commercial site, I like Slicehost (they can do some amazing things) and Voxel.net (some of the best managed support ever).

So, for personal sites, use Dreamhost.  For commercial sites that don't need to be managed, use Slicehost.  For fully managed servers, use Voxel.net.

I've been using Doteasy.com for 8 years. The first 5 years with basic free web hosting with the purchase of a domain, the last three years I've done their ultimate hosting (20gb storage, unlimited bandwidth, PHP, mySQL, 100 email accts, etc...), it cost approximately $10 a month for hosting and $25 a year for domain. I could get the domain cheaper elsewhere now but I'm a happily returning customer.

I've only had 1 un-schedule outage, and 2 scheduled outages when the moved me to a new server. 100% recommended, if you decide to go with them use my account as a referral and I believe YOU get more storage space for free. pm me for referral information.

Thanks for all the suggestions!  Now I just have to make a decision.
