a while back someone posted up on this, you no longer have to go to japan to have it done.  a guy in texas is doing the same thing and basically it is a the same process auto manuf. use to coat their parts like wood grain and such.  if anyone is interested i can get you more info from my dad since he is the one that passed it on after we spoke about it.  sorry about the video quality.

Very cool process, but I prefer the look of aluminum to faux carbon.

is this the same process that he wanted folks to pay him to send their bits to japan to have done?

Did you call them?  Not that I'm about to have anything "printed", but I am interested in the prices here in the US vs. what the other guy posted about in Japan.

This is exactly the same process that OCC used when they did that Cammoflage "off road" chopper.  Different film, that's all.

Design even looks pretty stretched in places.

I am a fan of natural finishes, but would rather paint over real CF to appear cheaper than I amâ€"not the other way around.
