I'm a bit sketchy on Alu.
I'm confident with stainless but I really haven't messed with alu that much. If it's gotta be pretty I'd need some scrap of the same material to do some test/practice welds. I can't guarantee anything cuz there are so many alloys around (unless you know what it is) and I have no way of telling. The crap doesn't weld for beans with the wrong filler rod.
I wouldn't feel comfortable welding on a swingarm at this point.
