That route isn't a lot of fun until you get past Wickenburg, however, White Spars is fun and it's even more worth while to go north further up through the back side of Mingus Mountain and into Prescott for lunch. There's a little place at the top to White Spars where you can have lunch too. I would it's pretty much a flat slab until you get up to Wickenburg though.
Here's the approach route:
1-17 to the Carefree Hwy.
Carefree Hwy to the 89 up into Wickenburg.
There are really two ways to go, but running up the 60 means that you'll have red lights. Here's a map of the two routes and where they join.

White Spars is just about 30 minutes or so north of Wickenburg up the 89.

It's a lot of fun, but the cops figured that fact out too!!! So you do have to exercise caution!

Continuing up the 89 though is REALLY worth it to hit this lengthy set of twisties:

As soon as they end, you're in Prescott. You can then either go back the way you came, or strait over to the 17 and slab it back to PHX.
*Interesting note though, that if you haven't been to Arcosanti (City of the Future), it's right across the I-17 on the way back.

I more than likely will be joining you guys this weekend for a run. Unfortunatly, Maureen can't make it since she has to work.
I just checked, it's going to be low 60's in Prescott, so cool, but nice
