Piller

Hmm.  She takes pain pills for her headaches..

She said she "took too many pills, freaked out, going to therapy on Tues, gonna make changes"

bad freaking news.

I assume that's going to effect her job status? I hope....

Nope

not if she initiates the treatment prior to disciplinary action

at least not in my experience

the whole carrying a gun thing might have a different effect on the rules in her case though

Exactly what I was getting at. She should be riding a desk for a while...

she was on duty for a while, she's just a juvie parole officer now.  She does sleep w/ a gun under her mattress so she tells me.  I feel sorry for her though.  she has an 11yr old son.

Wow, just read this thread....you've done the right thing.  I can imagine how hard it was to walk away with the kid involved though.

On another note, I used to sleep with a piece under my pillow in a holster.  Woke up one night clutching the damn thing with my finger inside the trigger guard.  Scared the shit outta me, so I bought one of those 4 button combo safes and located it nearby where I sleep.  No safety on the glocks....could have never woken up...uggh.

one more thing Pillar...

find a new place to live. and change your phone number.

Sinister

It's pretty apparent that Sinister had some issues in the past with his female companions and male friends.

Hmm...searching the memory banks, here.  I don't really think so, but maybe #2 sparked a little of that.  My friends, most commonly, share common interests and such; my sports/interests are pretty much male-dominated.  Why do I need female friends?  If I want a "woman's perspective", I have a wife, mother, and sister.  Now, I guess I would say that I have female acquaintances which, while I am friendly towards, with which I am not familiar or platonically intimate.

Whatever works for people, I guess.

Piller - wasn't until I said "I'd rather NEVER get married than marry the wrong man" that the most wonderful guy!!!  I guess it took being with a jackass for 2 1/2 years for me to realize what are good traits to be attracted to.

Yeah, he's not handsome, no cleft chin, no rippling muscles, but he's one of the kindest gentlest funniest men I know.

And 20 years of shared interests, laughter and respect for each other have been absolutely wonderful.

Don't look for Angelina Jolie (or Chrissy Tar...whatever dream girl's name is), that stuff fades.  High maintenance gets old real quick.  You'll find her when you're not looking.

Man, Piller, you took the right route. Seeing her attachment with the other guy while with you and how she handles the current situation are enough warning signs.

A few of my friends have ex's like her. These girls can't handle being ditch by a guy. Some went berserk (file sexual harassment charges, destroying his properties, home, work, and cell phone harassment...) on my friends demanding he get back with them. They'll form a strong emotional attachment to a guy once he ditch's them. Hence, if any of their ex don't mind, these girls have their ex's on speed dial for "emotional support". Glad you bailed early and save yourself from future regrets. There are great gals out there worth meeting. Many of us here can attest to this, especially the ancient crew  ;D

Damn, poor kid though

Thanks alot Laura.  Very nice advice.

Today she had a bunch of DEA's come and talk to the juvies.  She said they came to talk about drugs and how lots of people start taking pain pills for legit reasons.  I was very worried someone from the forum figured out who this girl was and had them go to her workplace.  She said they even talked about the same pain med she takes.  hydrocodeine.  She told me later that it was scheduled though.  She said she just took 3 ambien and 2 pain pills, but she was puking uncontrollably (brain injury which makes her need to take the pain pills).

Anyway, I hate being an asshole and making someone feel so bad about themselves.  It's hard to take that.  I understand the whole making the guy feel guilty so he comes back thing though.   I feel especially guilty though because her son liked me so much and always asked when I'm coming over.

I'm holding out ok though.
