Thanks Lisa!  Mindy and I are already talking about coming back.  I think around Nov.  Mindy will head back and start looking for a job and as soon as she gets one, and its past Feb 1st, I will quit and come also.  Texas is where we want to be.  Much better weather and GREAT friends!!  Those are the 2 main reasons!!  But yes we WILL be back early next year. I have to wait for 1 year or I have to pay back all the cash they gave me and spent on us for the move and we don't want to do that. so we will put up with it for a year.

how long you been with gm? almost seems like a huge waste for you and the family to be moved all over and you not get some early retirement or something?
as for how quite it is......it's a neverending termignoni party. except for me and i don't think i am as loud as you.

I've been with gm just over 10 years, so next Jan will be 11.  no early retirement.  Everytime we move a get a lump sum of cash, but as for early retirement, nope.  There are people, at the plant I just left, that will be let go with 24 years and no retirement.

As for the termi party, to each thier own.   I love my D&D's and I will get another set for the new bike.  I like being different!

The guys that own and operate D&D in Ft. Worth are really cool.  I worked with them on my senior design project back in the college days.  I created a 3-d CAD model of their Salt Lake dragster and dumped that into a fluid mechanics software to find and redesign high stagnation points and areas of high turbulence.  Haven't really heard much about the bike since.

I've heard my fair share of D&D mufflers having spent countless hours at their facility.  They are loud.  Evil

When was that? Just curious. I had David Rash (part of the D&D) build a set of open megaphone exhausts for my '78 Guzzi 850 LeMans back in the early 80s. I think before D&D offically existed... I think. Also had one of their first commercially successfully exhaust systems on my 1983 Honda Interceptor. That exhaust put them on the map! My understanding is that David Rash either left or sold out a while back. How long ago? Don't know. That's why I am curious about your college days work with them. As in, when was that and was Rash still there???

Thanks for the answer ahead of time. waytogo
