I've got a nearly-stock '99 M900.  Would like to have different silencers, but have specific requirements:  (1) must be as quiet as or quieter than stock, (2) must be carbon fiber or polished aluminum or SS, (3) must be no larger than stock, (4) must fit headers without mods.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

That's a tough one.  You should just polish your stockers then.

Yeah, good luck finding anything out there that's quieter than stock.

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

But if anybody knows of one let me know also!

Good luck

But what the intension to get something else then ?
I would rather spend the cash on an ECU and PC...
Or nice Rizoma parts :)

Quieter than stock huh?

Maybe you should pack tampons in your stockers, polish 'em, and call it a day.

quieter than stock??  not gonna happen.

they are designed as tight as possible and still give decent performance.  any quieter and you restrict exhaust flow so much the engine will probably not run too well.

bikes run FAR better with cored/free-flowing cans.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
