Hey everyone,

The CCS races are going on out at Firebird speedway this Sunday and we're going to head out and show our support for Anthony (LQQKR) who's racing this year. If you're free to come out, or have never been, you should come hang out. It's a lot of fun!  waytogo

Good Luck Anthony!!

Congrats on forming your race team  applause  Bordeaux-Racing

If anyone else goes out there to cheer them on, look for his racebike in the pits to find them

Ok, so since we're heading down to support a fellow DMF'r, I'd like to organize a group ride down to Firebird.

Please post up if you're interested. Meet-up details will follow.

Thanks for posting up info on the races and cost.

That would be swell.  I am going to bring the 996 to display too.  She's too beautiful to be sitting in the garage.

Didn't see this until today, but have been under the weather so probably couldn't of made it, but I hope you had a successful & fun time out there...

The races were a lot of fun and Anthony had a tent full of volunteer pit crew to help out! We took a few pics that we'll get posted soon but here's one that Dean from South West Rides took:

Dave and Maureen,

Thank you so much for all of your help and support.  I really appreciate it.  It was very humbling that about 15 of my friends came out to watch.  I have to admit, racing is up there on the list of most fun things I have ever done.  It is very intense and you really test and push yourself.  You try and go as fast as you can and it can get a bit scary at times.  I learned a lot about the track, my bike and racing.  I have been doing track days for over 2 years and racing is so different.  I can't wait for the next one in 3 weeks.  My bike was a bit down on power.  As you saw I would catch and pass people in the turns and then they would kill me on the straights and I would have to do it all over again.  I have to work on that.  But overall, I am very happy with my results:  8th in Supertwins, 6th in Thunderbike and 2nd in Lightweight Formula 40 (so what there were only 2 in that class.  LOL)  My best lap time was a 1.09.  I dropped a second off my lap time from the morning practice.  Ted Rich came over and adjusted my rebound damping just as I jumped on the bike to go out for race #1.   waytogo   Looking forward to seeing the pics you took.

Be safe,

Anthony

So that was a race I saw going on as I drove past on my way back up from Tucson?

I'm thinking about going to check out the CCS races this Sunday (3/22) and I have never been.
Is it $10 for kids to get in too?
Mine are five, four and 19 months.

Thanks,

AZMonsterMan
