EverNing.

Was a good day...

Got brake pads - the right ones this time, and at a smokin' deal.

Other than destroying a pad wear sensor (so I have to shell out another $10), had the front done in < 30 minutes.

Pulled a back wheel off to find over half the pad remaining.  Shop took pads back with no problems.

Friend I have known since @ birth is in town.  Nice dinner of pork with a side of pork, topped with pork.  (and some rice & beans and plantains)

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Sorry to hear about the Airstream intersection Elyse (I like the Navidad add-on,, very seasonal)

Grandson came over yesterday to decorate our tree...

I showed him how to throw the decorations at it until they got stuck in the branches...

he liked the Jackson Pollock approach

had so much fun he let loose a load in his diaper

whole house smelled like a damned nursing home on canned chili night

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

well we won't go "there"...

I'll just say thank god his parents were there

I would have had him outside with the pressure washer (on a mild setting) if they weren't

Was so excited to go home after long frustrating day. Nice  [Dolph] home, very little traffic, clear night.  Went to kitchen to quell my growling stomach, and heard...

...what's that?

...rain...

...inside.

Upstairs apartment has an old large water heater that is slowly draining through each floor as I type. At least the water is now shut off.
[bang]

On the bright side, I'm so glad I don't own any part of this very old house.
And at least I'll get 5 hours of sleep.

G'night everybody!

It was great meeting "The Dude" at long last.   She brought us some epic beer.
