I have no job and no money coming in so I went and bought 2 new HP laptops!  I got 200 off each and with tax it was under $900.  Prices sure have come down.  Transferring to an external hd 30 gig from old to new.

4 gig of 2 dimm memory, 500 gig hd, and glow in the dark keyboard for mine. This is the first time we have each had our own home computer. It's nice. L can watch CSI and I can surf the DMF!

L was ready to throw the old hp laptop out the window.  It is 7 years old and slow. Very slow. This was done for peace in the house. Of course, I did not say that I bought 2 until she saw the second one  :o

The site I'm on to find a nanny has a horrible search function-shows things ay closer than they are, so I get a number of people applying who have no clue the true distance. I asked about it and got this reply:

"Hi David,

Thank you for contacting us. We calculate miles from a birds eye point of view, not through driving mileage. This could be why it seems that the job is further away. I can see how this could be deceiving to people applying to your job. "

My response? "I am curious how many people you are in contact with who commute by bird? "
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
