Sorry to hear that Dave.

Is she with you in Cali?

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Yeah.
I guess at least you don't have to worry long distance.

Little consolation...I know.

Do they have a sense of how much damage yet?

If I'm overstepping my bounds just say so.

Ex-wife's Mom had a stroke years ago and it wasn't good but it could have been so much worse. She was a great gal and did a damn good job with re-hab and made some really good progress. I was really proud of her and very impressed at her improvements. She passed last year but she was also getting really old. I understand her passing was not a result of her stroke.

My late father had several mild strokes but also died from other health issues.

I will keep your Mom in my thoughts and prayers. ;)
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

im really sorry about your mom :(
im unfortunately sorta an expert on being the child of a stroke victim... my mom had multiple (truly more than i can even count) strokes beginning when i was about 12 & continued throughout my life & hers. some were extremely minor & others were more severe. what i learned throughout all of it is the brain is really quite amazing at repairing itself. recovery takes time & there are usually lasting effects, a little slurred speach or losing some mobility, but usually, the outcome is something that can be lived with... but i know how scary & stressful the initial diagnosis can be & im sending lots of good thoughts your & her way :)
