Thanks Steve...

This is the longest tunnel I've been in for quite some time. :P
Yeah.... I'd have sent a Canary in first  ;D

Really.  I dont have the patience (or imagination) to tackle such a task.

Brand new?  :o :o :o :o

No deals on used these days? Is manufacturing actually coming back?

There is a huge used market. A lot of those machines are pounded or just plain worn out. I got a quote on the 2008 version of what I ordered. It had a 4' bar loader with it and they wanted $140k. No telling if or how many times its been wrecked.

I wanted the 12' loader to minimize handling of material and you get more parts per bar when you don't have to cut to 4' lengths.

Our setup was $171k. Warranty as well.

Manufacturing isn't coming back. Its been back for two years. Its why I have to wait 3 months for mazak to build our lathe.

It helps to have talented friends to help pull it off.

My buddy Jim is really the carpenter on this.

I gave him a set of plans and the changes I wanted made and we bang heads until we get it done. It's really pretty amusing watching the dynamic.

It's also new ground for both of us in we've never actually built anything using this outside foam technique...

learn as you earn. [laugh]

We do. New machine will run the small stuff which will basically cover all my costs. Current machine will make the bigger stuff (profit)

We do well on the little stiff now. New machine will make them faster.

How long is your geo trench?
Thanks...Jim is good.

I'd have one, but there's too much groundwater...if we're talking about the same thing.
