Springtime....birds chirpimg, blooms abounding

and also when my dogs get their annual case of explosive shits....

why?

because every make the beast with two backsing person on my street here on Wrong Island has their landscapers spray gallons of toxins on their tiny stupid lawns and trees

so they can gaze out over their rolling verdant 15 yard long patches of chemically infused dirt and plastic-looking shrubbery

and convince themselves that they have truly arrived in paradise

get me the make the beast with two backs out of here....

stuffing imodium down Najee's gullet hoping I can stabilize him

and still make the 11 hour run tonight to sanity without stopping every 30 feet    >:(

:(  I hope he gets better soon.

I believe Grover's IBD was caused by eating grass that had been sprayed around the apartment complex I lived in for a couple of years. >:(

Exciting Saturday night over here! I'm in the kitchen - cooking!

These looked tasty (and easy for me). Only problem is I got won ton instead of egg roll wrappers.

But the "poppers" are still tasty though.

hmmmm broccoli and blue cheese and hot sauce

wash that down with a few Molson's golden ales and

you might have a combo that could empty rooms with one blast

and leave your pet Canary lying dead in the bottom of its cage

;)

the only reason I am wide awake at midnight

is that Najee's "emissions" woke me out of a sound sleep.... seriously they were that bad

seems the imodium has worked for now...

but its pouring rain so I can't get him to go outside

which means I can't load him in the car

and get the hell on the road back to N. Cackalacka   >:(

hope your lungs are getting sorted out

Poor Najee.   :P   Ok and maybe a "poor rat" too.  You're a good dog dad.   How much longer on the road??

Trying to get things sorted w/the breathing.  First appt. w/pulm doc yesterday.  After nearly 3 hours, got home late afternoon and they called unexpectedly after getting blood work analyzed and told me to get to ER pronto for a CT scan because of a(nother) value (d-dimer) that was whacked which indicated a blood clot.  There was none fortunately and I felt fine (not to mention feeling a bit out of place being there feeling fine amidst the throngs who were in much worse shape - but it was very entertaining!).

Thnx.  I'm optimistic after meeting the doc.   ;)

Still stuffing my face w/the "poppers".  I owe my own pooches a dutch oven after they got me good the other day.  Will have a few more....

Good on you for getting to the specialists, medical diagnostic machinery can be a real mixed blessing

and the ER can be a real mixed bag of horror, entertainment and stark boredom

reminds me of a rural Tennessee hotel I was stuck in one Sunday morning years back...3 TV channels and a terrible hangover....

all I could get was televangelists, animal kingdom and jerry springer reruns...

I think that was when my life turned a corner...... watching the televangelist

at a lectern in front of a stained glass panel of a "jesus"

(whose face bore an amazing resemblance to the turn-collared panhandler on the TV screen)

I was sort of converted after 5 minutes of him.....vodka was now a breakfast beverage/sacrament

didn't save my soul but sure made the hangovers go away [laugh]

yeah "poppers"  sometimes the dogs need a payback  [clap]  give them a few retaliatory "eye-poppers" of your own and they'll be scratching at the door to get out

you'll know you've achieved a zen-state when your partner wakes from a dead sleep and asks "is that you or does the dog need to go out?"

as for the road....I am probably going to flop on the couch for a few more hours sleep

wake up and drag Najee outside around 4 or 5 am if the rain lets up

if he empties out.... then I can put him in the back of the SUV and get going

it is an 11 hour run, but the key is to be out of NY metro before the rest of the world wakes up

otherwise it can turn into a 14 hour drive especially in wet weather
