Well, all my exercise to get back into shape has led to an injury. Looks like I did too much too fast. I have shin splints in my right (good) leg. If the pain doesn't go away after a week or so of no running, icing 3 times a day and taking Naprosyn twice a day, then I have to get a bone scan to see if I have a stress fracture.

Bone scans are TONS of fun! You get to have your blood drawn, it gets spun down to seperate the plasma, the plasma gets marked by radioactive isotopes and then re-injected to my blood stream. After 24 hours, I go back and go through a large machine that "x-rays" my leg looking for the isotopes to see if they have gathered in any spots. If they have, that area is where a stress fracture...

ewww bone scans and shin splints. not fun.
