Just got a phone call from my BIL.

This side of the building no longer has any paper on it.  :-\ The ice and water shield on the bottom is intact.

Doing stuff twice kinda sucks, but at least the trusses themselves aren't on the ground in a pile like matchsticks.

Pretty minor, considering.  I'd call that a job well done.

I think so too...we even used extra staples on that side hoping to stop it from happening.

We talked about battens or putting bundles of shingles around the edges.

It amounts to 3 ish hours and 15 square of paper.

All in all no biggie.

I'm surprised the other side stayed with just staples.  What weight paper?

I was thinking about nails, but they invariably get in the way when you install shingles.

I had an MRI on Friday to take a look at the lesion on my liver.  I just got the results that say it is a harmless hemangioma, and no further action needs to be taken.   So, not cancer, not an alien parasite, not a parasitic twin.

They thought enough of this storm to cancel Hawaii 5 O and have a special report about it instead.

I must have slept through it...

Rat is on the north shore of LI if he's up north.

Much better than the south shore that took the direct hit of the storm surge.
i'm pretty sure rat posted he was on long island last night... so hopefully all is ok for him.. & i'm glad everyone else is doing well!
