ME: Good! I called Flinch and Bruns and they had the audacity to quote me 3000 bucks, that is why you and I are talking

ME: Christine allow me to level-set this conversation, the only difficulty I am having is how much it costs to barbeque a cadaver, my mother was a monster who drove my beloved younger sister to suicide at age 30 so can we please skip the Steps of Grief management and get to the numbers

ME: No we are planning a survivor's drunken lunch once you call us and assure us she is finished.....you can just pick her up at the Home when the time comes and do your thing

ME: Shit, I don't know,,, do you want them? not you personally unless that is your thing or something.....maybe we will draw straws at lunch to see who comes up short and gets them

ME: That is much better than those other ghouls, do you have any coupons, specials or holiday sales or advance notice discounts?

ME: That will be a huge plus for my siblings as we plan to split the costs

How is the disaster that is LI treating you?

you mean the disgusting failing sphincter of the universe known as Wrong Island?...where civic and political corruption has created an impossible tax schedule and no relevant services in return?

Our street is still blocked off by a downed Verizon cable halfway up the block...no one seems interested in addressing it

The street is now 1 lane because of the mountains of cut up trees piled at folks' curbs...they will probably be there for a few months

Garbage men come on whim now because they have to back down the street after pick-up

the north shore Port/Manhasset area looks like it was hit by multiple tornadoes

whole sections of sidewalk heaved or upended by tree stumps

what has become unmistakably clear is that .........

LIPA has failed utterly to manage the restoration to any kind of plan,,,because there was no plan

outside tree crews stand around idle because they can't get LIPA to certify that power is off and grounded,, so trees downed on the power lines are safe to cut

that the Nassau County elected officials are grossly overpaid political hacks with absolutely no credentials in leadership or management

the state officials aren't much better

that the Town of North Hempstead is probably broke which is why armies of TNH tree cutters/removers and road clearers are nowhere in sight...budget probably exhausted to cover salaries of useless political hacks
