going to put the generator in place today, run the liquid-tight from it and into the house and then mount the transfer switch. If I get further than that, all the better.

sitting there should be fine as internally the whole assembly sits on a dampener that is mounted to it's own thick pad.
I'll anchor it later if it looks like it moves at all.

It's over 300 lbs, it will be on the other side of a 6 foot fence, it will have electrical hard wired to it and gas hard plumbed. It would be quite a task for someone to take, plus it doesn't even look like a generator really.
