mental health day?

Just started the job a month ago... no vacation.

We are working 4 hours from home,  10 days on 4 days off... 12 hr days plus $80 per diem.   Makes for some nice paychecks.

Also means I would be taking 3-4 days off, and it's been a horrible summer financially... really don't want to lose the hours.

5 years ago, I spent the summer unemployed.... had a blast till I realized how quickly my fun money was disappearing without anything coming in.

My liver took a hell of a beating as well.

I didn't think the Ouray run was held 5 years ago?

The entire amount of alcohol I consumed at Ouray in 2 trips was less than one of my usual benders 5 years ago.

when were you thinking about heading to Denver?

Rev. Millertime

End of October, early November.

Depends on when we finish the current project we are working on.  Kind of on schedule right now, but we'll see how long that lasts.

hey, just popping in for a minute for a quick update and a question.

update - just got back from 3 weeks underway. Visited Saipan. lived well and was treated like royalty at the Palms Resort Saipan. Snorkeled in some wonderful places. Should have pics up on my page this week (assuming I get off my ass and download the pictures).

question - came back from the u/w and the bike fired right up :yippie: But, the oil light came on and hasn't gone off since. Oil level is fine. stand the bike upright and it's at the top of the sight glass indicator. The only manual I have is in Japanese. So, I'm a bit out. Haven't got a chance to take delivery of a tech manual (cause I haven't ordered one.. yet). So, the "oil" light on an 03 carb'd 400... what are the causes of the light? The bike rides as normal as she did before I left. I'm still needing a new neutral sensor cable to allow me to idle the bike while she's on the stand. So, she doesn't get the idle time she probably deserves.

On a completely other note, I took delivery of a Aerostitch Hi-Viz Darian jacket and the punch lines have been coming steadily since. It's bright. Comfortable though. Also received a pair of Held Akira gloves today. TOnight's ride home was their first use.

Hi, hope everyone is ok with Gustav wreaking havoc over there :o

Hey 'Poke, I was wondering where you'd gotten off to.

Check the connection at your sending unit first, if that's good, turn the key on and disconnect the wire from the sending unit.  If the light stays on you've got a short somewhere in that line, if it goes out then it's either the sending unit gone south or low oil pressure.
