I watched him "fix" his oil breather while in Ouray last year after dumping tons on oil on the back side of his bike, including the tire....

I saw pics of that. It didn't look fun.

I'm trying to convince him to get something else but he's almost done paying it off I think. Maybe I can just start getting him new component after new component til its shiny and clean.  ;D

First thing is a decent tank and tail. The rattle can job is coming off... [laugh]

Check the connection at your sending unit first, if that's good, turn the key on and disconnect the wire from the sending unit.  If the light stays on you've got a short somewhere in that line, if it goes out then it's either the sending unit gone south or low oil pressure.
