just got back from tire shop . .  tires are in[last 4] but shocks was a no no . . .one of the front mounts is no gut and will purchase on Monday and they'll finish job . . . meantime . .. if missus feels like going out . . her treat I stay home .. .

took the plunge for the shock, found nothing 'reliable' on *bay so, if it is rebuildable . . . down the line it can be fine tuned for me . . .

now, how much a 170/60R17 rear would affect my handling ???

If I was you I would stay as close to stock size wise as you can.

The narrower the rim the pointier the profile will be and the handling will be quicker too.

I think a 170 on a 5.5 will be very close to the 160 on a 4.5.

A 180 on a 5.5 is the best of both worlds IMO.
