It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I need to make it out to Denver again. Its been too many years. I always liked the place. When I was in Cheyenne going to A&P school I used to drill at NARCEN Denver over in Aurora.

Just came back from the dog walk. I never thought I would be so Happy about 36o temps. Its so warm out there.  All the ice has softened and turned back into snow and even slush. Its been almost 4 weeks since it snowed and the stuff is still everywhere. I'm going to do some outside stuff today.

Was that the old facility just inside the gate or the "new" (several years old now) facility on the east side of the base?

The New one, or it was new then. They even have a fire fighting/Damage control compartment inside the building. The water gets about waste deep. I was there about 6 months and then right after I was done with school they had an AT scheduled. They flew all of us out to San Diego to go out on the Carrier for two weeks. Only time in 8 years I was on a ship.

Which carrier?  Way back when, they were attached to the Midway.

There used to be (wondering if it is still there) a sub simulator near I-25 & I-70.

Dont know about subs. when I was there they were attached to The Constellation CV-64. I think it was decommissioned in 03. It was the last of the Non Nukes.

This was back when I was still in high school, dumb, and thinking I wanted to go to Annapolis instead of the MUCH BETTER Academy ( ;D).

Midway was decommissioned in '92, so I am guessing that was way before your time here.

Smoky here, but no threat whatsoever to us.  Hoping that those to my north will be able to say the same by the weekend.
