That's not as much fun as a trip to Hawaii..

Trip to here then is it?

I've had a couple trips to Hawaii that were not reflective of the brochure.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Most of my trips involved some kind of work but I dont think I've had a bad trip over there. Its time to go back, but this time no Hickam, not so much waikiki, and no Barbers Point.

Yep another trip to the radiation tunnel (a lesser dose this time though of course). Off to the coast after though, for a 4 day weekend. Got a nice apartment on the beachfront. Brother and his wife down from Townsville for a visit. Few beers at the surf club, hunting for shellfish in the sand to make our version of fettucine and clams. Bit of fishing, more beers...all very relaxing 'cos it will be good news.

I like good news...go for it brimo

Other good news would be...'it's cocktail hour'

That's always welcome news around here. [thumbsup]

I was forced into cocktail hour at lunch.  Makes for a challenging afternoon.  Of course the computer is not being fickle for a change.  Can only blame myself for lack of productivity this afternoon.   Dumb.      :P

I don't know how the working stiff managed prior to the what...mid/late 80's when martini lunches were the norm. Uncle Rat, I'm sure has a few good lunch time stories from back then.    ;)

In other news.... The family waits for Monday to come to find out my brother's cancer prognosis.  But we're like weebles:  Take a beating on occasion but bounce right back up.   [thumbsup]

Those are supposed to be off-site meetings that last all afternoon.  ;)

I missed the news about your brother P...here's to good news.

I was selling heavy truck parts in the mid to late 80's. I took the late lunch shift...drink from 3-4...back to work for an hour...then got into it in earnest.

Good thing things had usually quieted down by 4...I was pretty toasty. [laugh]

Hadn't mentioned anything about the bro prior to just now.  Most of the family clan are optimistic realists.   ;)

I would have been a major liquid train wreck if I'd been born a few years earlier.  Out of control at times as it is.  Don't even want to imagine!   [laugh]
