It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

It's normal for Europeans to get better mpg when you a bit faster than 100kph/62mph. . .

Yeah, I just found it odd since my truck (5.4l) does best around 65 and the Touareg (4.2l) is showing better above 70...

My old Peugeot 405Mi16 did great on the highway at an avg of 65~75mph than it did under 55mph . . . also my VW Santana wagon[Quantum in the US] did a lot better at 65 than 55 . ..go figure . . .

not that surprising to me...my old B4 platform Passat VR6 went from 28mpg at 65-ish to 33mpg at above 80....I recall driving to Cedar Point overnight with the cruise control set in excess of 100mph and getting over 30mpg easily...

I miss that car...damn ex wife killed that too though....
