Stella, if you only purchase tails, is $4.00/lb if you purchase a whole crustacean, is $12.00/lb . . .so I usually go for tails only unless I want to show off . .

So who the hell buys the tail-less critters @ $8/lb ??

I get me hands on what I/the missus can . . . the whole critter is nice, is tasty, but, a whole critter @$12/lb would mean, around $80.00 for 2 while, if we get only tails . . .for a third of the price we get a little more . . .

Just playing with the thought that if the whole beast is $12/lb.....  but the tails are only $4/lb....   somebody must pay $8 for the rest of the make the beast with two backsing thing (which seems like a crappy deal)

they don't loose . . . basically what this guy sells, is what the 3 or 4 restaurants he sells to rejected . . . missus don't like the heads on prawns[shrimp] or lobsters . . . so, I get about 12~16 tails in different sizes, mostly about 200gr each . . . and is a lot of meat !!!

these are from a few weeks back, about 10~12 tails, almost 3kg
