My stepson and his wife will live in the apt over the bar.

Partly,  the bar and associated rooms (baths and kitchen) will remain as commercial.

The single story store front and current storage area will become 2 apts.

It was built in 1897.  The single story housed a bowling alley at one time.  The hardwood floors are still intack.

Almost all of the orginal tin ceiling in the bar and single story are there as well.

There are two large skylights in the single story that we plan on opening back up.

It's going to be alot of work, but the bones were too good to resist.

Close to a huge park and we'll have a yard for the pups.

That's what I meant. Very cool.

Skylights are nice, but from a roofers, and heating/cooling perspective can be problematic. I'm sure you and B are aware of the pitfalls in our climate.

We are closing bar (did not buy the business) for now.

The single story will be converted into two large (~1200sf each) live/work studio apts.

It's going to be an adventure.
