Warranty fraud was big business.

Still is but I doubt anything like it was "back then".

I thought everybody in Co. was on dope these days.

I retract using the word "dope".  If that were the case, they would have offered me some and apologized for almost killing me and the pups.  Who knows what they were on or they were just completely stupid. And angry w/o direction in life other than breaking into our cars and homes.

Now that the adrenalin has been spent:

Was working from home, took a break to take the pups for a walk around the 'hood.  I started walking across a quiet street the same time an old durango was making a stop at the stop sign.  I watched him stop so I continued into the street.  He gave it the gas.  I yelled and he slammed on the brakes.  At that point my little guy was under the bumper between the two front tires doing the "wtf is happening get me the F out of here" scramble and I was by the front headlight.

My response was a big wtf...passenger rolled down the window so the driver (young f'er on who knows what), said basically for me to get out of his way, he didn't see me and called me every possible, colorful name.  I started in on him (still in the intersection) then realized, like many around here, he's likely packing heat, we were lucky we weren't hit, maybe I should shut up and keep going.  He also said that if he saw me again, he wouldn't stop.... blah blah....

This was after dealing with an out of control boss assigning the exact same task to three of us, stopping presses (literally), blah blah, which was after having received my first call of the day confirming I'll be a witness for the prosecution in a murder case (finally - and this is not bad news - just realizing closure may actually happen 27 years later and the whole thing is surreal).

Workout complete, wine is poured and cyber whining is done, thank you.   I have weird days sometimes.

Sorry Carlos about the alarm going off.  Hopefully it's nothing other than a false alarm...?

He was the shooter.

Frank Smith was the GM guy.

I think it was later than 1960.

Warranty fraud was big business.
Ya, I read it again. He did his wife in '60. Did the GM guy in '76.  His kids say he was a nice guy   ;D
